Quick update

We will have pictures posted of our recent adventures soon.

To start things off we were honored to be part of the wedding for Elizabeth Stephens and John Gadsby on June 17th. John officiated the wedding and Luke was the ring bearer. Logan declared himself the ring tiger when he overheard us talking with Luke about his responsibilities. In case your wondering, a ring tiger apparantly crouches in the corner and growls at people who try to talk to him.

Next we headed to Columbus, IN to spend the night with the Doig's and attend church with them on Sunday morning. Thanks for your hospitality, you guys are awesome!

Then the real adventure began . . .
We went camping for 9 days and 8 nights in Brown County, Indiana. It was great and we will definately be camping again in the future. The pictures tell the stories best so we'll wait to elaborate until we get those posted. ALl the kids were great campers! They every slept through the thunderstorms. Yes, plural, thunderstorms. Other than a few days of unfortunate weather, which we have no control over anyway, it was a great relaxing vacation. We didn't do much more than stay at our campsite, eat and read.

We then headed to Louisville for the North American Christian Convention. Quite a change of pace after being isolated for over a week in a tent. It was very good to have over 2 weeks away as a family!

Finally we spent our 4th of July holiday selling funnelcakes in Sheridan, IL. Actually, John sells funnelcakes, and I work in the "Grab joint" selling other yummy fair food. If you've never had the chance to work it's something you have to experience to really appreciate what all it entails. There's nothing like intoxicated people trying to order corn dogs on their way out of the park, there's nothing like watching people wait in line for over an HOUR for a funnelcake, and there's nothing like getting to work together as a family . . . go team wentz!

Comments:
the day after you guys left our house i was sitting at work and looked outside to see a huge hail storm! i don't know if you guys got any of that, but i half expected to see you guys back at our place monday night!

Camping, with three little ones...you guys are so brave. Sounds like you had a great vacation. We miss you guys around here, but are glad to be able to keep up by reading your blog.

Yes Kris, we got hail. Several times we were on the verge of landing on your doorstep, but we toughed it out. The kids didn't seem to mind, but I was getting tired of being WET!

It's so good to sort-of keep in touch by reading your blog - thanks!! 8 nights camping?! You guys are brave! We thought we were brave for camping 4 nights!!

wow... it would be great to meet at a cool campsight together sometime! Maybe John could make us funnel cakes?

Miss you guys!
