long time, no blog

Hello everybody!

I have ventured down to the basement to use the internet. Well, it's been 1 week since Mikayla Jeanne Wentz was born. She has been a wonderful baby. We are very blessed. We have so much going on in our lives right now, as most every knows at this point. In addition to having Mikayla we are also going to be moving to Springfield, Illinois the last week of February/first week of March. So things are very exciting around here. Thankfully my Grandma has been staying with us to help with Mikayla, the boys, and the move. She has been AMAZING! I have always looked up to her and now I have these precious weeks to soak up more time together. I know I will NEVER forget this time. We are in the middle of what could be a really stressful time, and she has helped make this time so enjoyable.

The boys are enjoying Mikayla as well. John has them saying, "Hey pal, that's my sister!" And although I don't know that John particularly likes the pink bows in her hair, I can't help but dress her up in all the cute clothes and accessories. I hope we download more pictures soon.

Hopefully I can post more soon, check out john's blog for more frequent updates, but I thought I'd give a small shout-out to anyone who still stumbles across this blog.

Comments:
1) Can't wait for you to move. Let us know when/where and we'll come help if we can.

2) Has Grandma been cooking for you? I hope so! Has she done the German "bounce the kid in your lap song" with the boys yet?

3) Tell John he'll miss the "pink bows and lacey clothes" stage when Mikayla is Hannah's age.

Congrats, Shannon!!!

I'm excited you're moving to Springfield...maybe I'll get to see you guys a little bit more often. ;-)

Can't wait to see pics of little Mikayla!!!

Did you ever get the package I sent you with the cute girlie outfits...most of them are way too big for her now. Congrats again. I'll call you sometime soon. Big news on the horizon!

I love that comment that John is teaching the boys, "Hey Pal, that's my sister!" That cracks me up.

P.S. Tell Logan that if he doesn't show up to work tomorrow that he can find another job.

Congratulations! We had our little boy on January 14th . . . Jackson Isaiah! Maybe we'll run into you around town since I see you are moving back to the Springfield area : ) Take care! Kristin
