Update
it's been too long between posts and i'm not sure where to start. but here's a general update on the events that have taken place in the last few weeks.
I had my first Doctor's appointment for this pregnancy. Everything looks great. The only awkward moment was when I was waiting on the exam table for the Doctor to come in and the song, "Pour Some Sugar on Me." was playing on the loudspeaker. I think any and all suggestive songs should be outlawed from the Ob/Gyn.
I had an early ultrasound to date my pregnancy. My official due date is January 12. That means I am currently around 9 1/2 weeks. It was amazing to see the baby already! Although it's about the size of a peanut you can see the heart beating and the arm and leg buds. I wish I could post a picture, but I don't know how.
We started potty training Logan. I am not a good potty trainer. Logan is doing well in spite of it. My goal is to have him trained before John gets back.
UC's graduation was this past Friday. So Saturday and Sunday we full of open houses for students. Several of our graduates are sticking around and I'm really glad we don't have to say goodbye to them.
John left for Guatemala yesterday morning. He'll be gone for two weeks. I was surprised by how sad I was when he left. I think it's hard to be so disconnected from him. I'm not sure he'll be able to contact me. He's hoping to find an internet cafe and post updates on his blog.
I am preaching this Sunday, because John and Troy are in Guatemala.
We are going to stay very busy this week, to hopefully make the time go faster.
Today we are going to the zoo.

Actually, I can think of worse songs to hear in the Ob/Gyn than "Pour Some Sugar On Me". "Having My Baby" by Paul Anka comes to mind. Also, any song by Barry Manilow (aka Barely Man-enough) or Michael "Thriller" Jackson or Elvis "Fat, Sweaty and Stinky" Presley. If you don't have morning sickness now, listening to any of those singers will definitely prompt it.
