5 years
5 years ago . . .
my nails were manicured
my hair was styled
I wore the most expensive outfit of my life
my make-up was perfect
I held the hands of my future husband
Today . . .
My nails are chipped
my hair is, let's say, "natural"
I'm wearing an old t-shirt and pajama pants
I have on no make-up
I am holding my sick child
Juxtapose these two days and on the surface it may seem obvious which day was "better". But, today as I held Logan, cleaned up vomit, and gave him pedialite I am overwhelmed by the common thread between May 27, 2000 and May 27, 2005. That common thread is Love (or LUV). I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding day, but I can honestly say that 5 years later, it's even better.

It doesn't matter how you spell it, you two lit a flame that can't be put out. It just keeps burning brighter every day. I'm sure that you are just as beautiful today as you were five years ago to the people that love you most. Love you! Sandy
