28

i just finished having a pb&j picnic in the backyard with my boys. Hooray for warm weather!!!

Yesterday was my birthday. John was double gifted . . . twice! my friend sarah gave me the same book that he had bought for me. But, i am excited to return it and pick out whatever book i want. then my friends, KT and Abby got me a gift certificate to Mitchells (salon and dayspa) for a Spa Manicure with a Nail Tech. I recently stopped biting my fingernails. A major accomplishment in my book. I have never (that i remember) clipped or filed my nails. Now that I actually have nails, i need to learn how to take care of them. John also got me a gift certificate for Mitchells. I am planning on using his to get my hair cut. I haven't had my hair cut by a professional in almost 2 years! I cut my own hair 2 years ago and I hated it! I have been waiting for it to grow out for the past 2 years. I was too embarrassed to get it cut by someone who would take one look at my hair and say, "What happened here?" By easter I should be one glamorous lady! Thank you to everyone who e-mailed and called, or celebrated with my at my parents house last Sunday, it was a wonderful birthday!

I also went to Willow Creek last week for their Children's Ministry conference. So much to process. Thank you to KT Roseen for letting us stay with her Tuesday night. You are an amazing lady! I haven't seen you in years, but keeping up with you on your blog makes it seem like I talk to you often. I really hope I can return the favor sometime!

maybe I will post some of my thoughts on the conference later. I don't want this to be too long.

Happy Spring!!! Oh, and go Cincinnati!!!

Comments:
You are already a glamorous lady.

Maybe I should take you to the mall and get you some glamour shots for your birthday as well.

It was warm enough in Cincinnati to have a picnic? You lucky gal, you. It hasn't been warm here since March 6, and I'm starting to get a little TIRED of the chill in the air.

Memo to John - if you think she's glamorous now, you should have seen her in the first grade in her Covington cheerleader's outfit. She was soooooo adorable!!!

You are welcome to stay with me anytime you want, Shannon!! I loved seeing you...the time was too short. Hopefully I can make it to Cinci sometime soon!!! Happy Belated Bday.
